Introduction to Emergency Medicine Ultrasound

Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) has been shown to enhance the Emergency Physicians ability to assess and manage patients with a variety of acute illnesses.

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) has developed guidelines for the development, progression and maintenance of these essential ultrasound skills.

The Auckland Regional Introduction to Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Course has been a great opportunity on this road to Probecraft perfection.

Introductory Courses can be done through both UTS MELBOURNE & AIU GOLD COAST

A more local Introductory course can be done via UIE: UIE ULTRASOUND COURSES

The College credentialing process requires the trainee to attend an introductory workshop, perform and record a requisite number of scans and pass an assessment.
